Our Story
PedsCaree was founded with a deep obligation and commitment to supporting infants, children, and youth undergoing hospitalization or healthcare experiences.
Together, we have over a decade of pediatric psychosocial expertise and have had the privilege of launching child life and psychosocial programs in hospitals in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Our combined professional background includes developing child life and psychosocial programs, developing education and training for future psychosocial healthcare leaders, and launching playrooms and play areas in hospitals. We are now committed to utilizing our professional experience to launch therapeutic care packages for infants, youth, children, and their families undergoing hospitalization or healthcare experiences.
We are deeply grateful for our time working in the pediatric wards of hospitals. It has enabled us to meet and interact with thousands of pediatric patients and their families. From our experiences, we have observed the significant impact of playing and engaging with toys on children's emotional and mental well-being, and the critical role they play in helping them cope during their hospital stay and after discharge. We know that play gives them the opportunity to learn, have fun, and find respite. We firmly believe that every child deserves positive cognitive, emotional, and physical development experiences regardless of the stresses they may face, particularly in the hospital.
Therefore, our therapeutic care packages respect each child and their family's unique journey and strive to honor a child's growth and development. We have chosen toys that support further learning and education. The therapeutic care packages aim to empower a child and their family by promoting coping, learning, and play. With every therapeutic care package sold, we want to give back. At the end of each year, we will dedicate a portion of our profits to supporting hospitals or healthcare centers worldwide that may be struggling with resources to meet their psychosocial needs.
Every child in every hospital ward should be able to play and be a child. Our hope is that children and their families will feel the support we intended to provide when the box was put together. We want them to feel cared for, supported, empowered, and confident that these toys, which encourage them to play, learn, and grow, will be a light for them.
